Iron Dominion

★★★★☆ 4.1 Editor rating

Iron Dominion drops you on a contested map and asks you to build, defend, and expand one decision at a time. It's slower than most mobile strategy games, and that's the point — you queue production, scout ahead, and commit to a plan rather than reacting frame by frame.

The campaign missions each have a little puzzle at their core: a terrain choke, a resource shortage, an enemy that counters your favorite unit. Figuring out the trick is genuinely satisfying. Skirmish mode against the AI gives you more freedom once you've learned the ropes.

It does lean on timers for construction, which some players will dislike. We found the pacing fit the game's deliberate style, but if you want instant action this isn't it.
