Playing Slow Strategy Games Without the Timers Getting You
Base-building strategy on mobile almost always involves waiting for things to finish. Some players bounce off immediately. I used to be one of them, until I changed how I played.
The trick is to always have a plan for the next three things, so when one finishes you already know what's next. Instead of waiting and refreshing, you log in, queue your moves, and leave. The game respects your time if you let it.
Scouting is underrated. While a build finishes, send a unit to explore the map. You'll spot threats early and find resources that cut future waits short. Idle time becomes useful time.
Pick one long-term goal and steer everything toward it. A clear direction turns slow progress into deliberate progress, and that's a completely different feeling.
